It was named after its inventor Aeneas Coffey, whose invention was later adopted by the Scots. The Nikka Coffey Malt is made from 100% malt. Tasting 1 Eye: Light gold. Nose: Seductively fruity with pear, banana and vanilla. Palate: Still very enticing. Mild with notes of rice pudding and grain (corn). Finish: Caramel and pear again.
